Air Force Agniveer: The Indian Air Force (IAF) invites online applications from unmarried male and female candidates for Agniveer Vayu Intake 01/2026 under the Agnipath Scheme. The recruitment offers a unique opportunity for India’s youth to serve in the Indian Air Force for a period of four years as Agniveer Vayu. The selection process includes an online test, physical fitness test, and medical examination.

Indian Air Force Agniveer Eligibility Criteria

1. Age Limit:
   • Candidates born between January 1, 2005, and July 1, 2008 (both dates inclusive) are eligible.
   • Upper age limit as of enrolment is 21 years.
2. Marital Status and Pregnancy:
   • Only unmarried candidates are eligible.
   • Female candidates must undertake not to marry or become pregnant during the engagement period.
3. Educational Qualifications:
   • Science Subjects:
     • 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics, and English with 50% aggregate marks and 50% marks in English, or
     • Three-year Diploma in Engineering (relevant fields) with 50% aggregate marks, or
     • Two-year Vocational Course with Physics and Mathematics with 50% aggregate marks.
   • Other than Science Subjects:
     • 10+2 in any stream with 50% aggregate marks and 50% marks in English, or
     • Two-year Vocational Course with 50% aggregate marks.

Indian Air Force Agniveer Selection Process

The selection process consists of three phases:

1. Phase I: Online Test
   • Science Subjects: 60 minutes (Physics, Mathematics, English).
   • Other than Science Subjects: 45 minutes (English, Reasoning, and General Awareness).
   • Science + Other than Science Subjects: 85 minutes.
2. Phase II: Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
   • Male: 1.6 km run in 7 minutes, 10 push-ups, 10 sit-ups, and 20 squats.
   • Female: 1.6 km run in 8 minutes, 10 sit-ups, and 15 squats.
3. Phase III: Medical Examination
   • Includes baseline investigations such as chest X-ray, ECG, and blood tests.

Indian Air Force Agniveer Pay, Allowances, and Benefits

At the end of the engagement period, candidates will receive a Seva Nidhi Package of approximately ₹10.04 lakhs.
