The Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) has released the latest notification for the recruitment of 439 Apprentices for Graduate/ Technician Apprenticeship. The PSPCL Apprentice Vacancy 2024 application form has been invited through the NATS portal.
The online application forms are open from June 10 to July 10, 2024.
The applications are invited from the Degree/ Diploma holders (passed during 2021, 2022, & 2023) for undergoing 1-year Graduate/ Technician apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act, 1961 and Apprenticeship Rules, 1992.
There are a total of 106 vacancies for the Engineering Graduate Apprentices, 36 vacancies for Degree in any stream, and 297 vacancies for the Technician Apprentices. The category-wise breakup of the seats of PSPCL Apprentice Vacancy 2024 is given here.
Only the Punjab Residents/ domicile candidates are eligible to apply for this recruitment. All category candidates are required to produce the Punjab Domicile issued on or after January 1, 2024.
Essential Qualification
Age Limit:
The Age limit to apply for the PSPCL Apprentice Bharti 2024 is a minimum of 18 years. The crucial date for the calculation of the age limit is April 1, 2024.
Education Qualification
Graduate Apprentices:
- A Degree in Engineering Technology granted by a statutory university.
- A Degree in Engineering or Technology granted by an institution empowered to grant such degrees by an act of Parliament.
- Graduate Examination of Professional bodies recognized by the Central Government as equivalent to a degree.
- Graduate of General Stream such as B.A., B.Com, B.Sc., etc.
Technician Apprentices:
- A Diploma in Engineering or Technology granted by a State Council or Board of Technical Educational established by a State Government.
- A Diploma in Engineering Technology granted by a university.
- A Diploma in Engineering or Technology granted by an Institute recognized by the State Government or Central Government as equivalent to (1) and (2) above.
Knowledge of Punjabi: Qualification of Punjabi is essential for all the applicants. For this purpose, all the candidates must have passed Punjabi of at least Matriculation or its equivalent level up to the last date of the submission of the online application.
How to Apply
Interested candidates are required to register themselves on the MHRD NATS Portal of the Government of India (nats.education.gov.in/student_type.php). Then under the establishment request, candidates will have to apply for the apprenticeship under Punjab State Power Corporation Ltd. (establishment ID: NPBPAS000008). There is no application fee for applying for PSPCL Apprentice Vacancy 2024.
Selection Process
Selection will be based purely on merit basis. The merit will be made as per marks obtained in a degree/ diploma. The percentage marks shall be rounded of to nearest second in degree/ diploma. The percentage marks shall be rounded off to nearest second decimal digit for preparing the merit. No weightage shall be given for higher qualifications.
